Myra L. Jackson was elected to the CCI Governing Board on March 25, 2024, to serve as Interim Board Treasurer, until permanent roles are finalized.
Myra is a long-time friend and ally of CCI. She was a founding member of the Advisory Council of the Citizens’ Climate Engagement Network and has joined our civil society observer delegation participating in the United Nations Climate Change negotiations.
Among her many titles and accomplishments, Myra is permanent representative to the UN from the Commons Cluster of NGOs, is UN Representative for the Earth Law Center, and was given the title Diplomat of the Biosphere by the Stockholm Resilience Centre. She contributed to the Open Working Group that helped shape the Sustainable Development Goals and is founder of the Global Freshwaters Summit, an initiative of the Global Being Foundation.
