CCI COP28 Focus Areas
National climate plans must be upgraded to be economy-wide and include all global heating pollution, to align with the The Right to a Livable Future. To support this, we are focusing on Action for Climate Empowerment (climate civics), Article 6.8 Non-Market Cooperation, Food Systems Transformation, Capital to Communities, and Climate-Resilient Trade.
Earth Diplomacy Leadership Initiative
We will co-host with The Fletcher School both formal meetings and informal check-ins with the Earth Diplomacy Leadership community, during the COP28.
The People’s Pavilion
The People’s Pavilion digital platform will allow people around the world to livestream COP28 events and meetings, and to join thematic policy discussions and workshops, with support from VoLo Foundation.
The Right to Resilience
The 2023 Reinventing Prosperity Report emphasizes evidence and actions that can work to honor the right to a livable future.
Toward the Good Food Finance Facility
CCI will co-host a major COP28 side event to report on progress toward creation of the Good Food Finance Facility, a new co-investment platform for food systems transformation.
